There’s no reason why the Arizona Cardinals will lose the top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft given how the rest of the regular season has shaped up.

The Arizona Cardinals must have mixed emotions concerning their future after this season. After last season, there was hope that they would build off their 8-8 record. Now, there is virtually no chance of the Cardinals losing the No. 1 selection in the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft.

Arizona plays teams in the next two weeks with reasons to win. In Week 16, the Los Angeles Rams are playing for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. They would play at home throughout the playoffs. In Week 17, the Cardinals travel north to play the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle is currently a Wild Card with the fifth seed. The Seahawks are playing to hold off other teams, still in the hunt, for a Wild Card spot.

Arizona’s miserable season will continue for the next two weeks. Even if they try to win these last two games, expect them to lose decisively. The Rams and Seahawks are much better teams. There is no chance that the Redbirds will be able to steal a victory from them.

Injuries have wreaked havoc on the offensive line. There was the horrible start to the season, which prompted the change at quarterback. Don’t forget, there was a change at offensive coordinator.

After replacing Sam Bradford early in the season, Josh Rosen was replaced in Atlanta by Mike Glennon. Rosen completed 13 of 22 passes for 132 yards with two interceptions. Glennon came into the game midway through the fourth quarter.

Head coach Steve Wilks addresses his quarterback situation this week. Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com reported Wilks comments:

"“I don’t want to say it would hurt him more to bench him,” Wilks said. “I’d say you’d hurt his development and growth. He’s so competitive, he wants to be out there, and I want him out there as well.”"
