Here are the five head coaches that should consider themselves on the hot seat for NFL Week 16 of the 2018 season.
Isn’t it crazy to think how NFL Week 16 is already here when considering it seems like only yesterday the 2018 season officially got underway in September? With only two games remaining for all teams, it’s only a matter of time before the offseason arrives, and most likely sees numerous head coaches lose their jobs when seeing how this season has been turning out.
After Hue Jackson and Mike McCarthy were the first ones to go, all eyes have been on which head coach could possibly be next before the end of the regular season, especially since there plenty of candidates to choose from.
For example, Ron Rivera has unfortunately worked his way into the conversation over the last couple of weeks when seeing how the Carolina Panthers have quickly become one of the biggest disappointments from this season with six losses in a row. During the first two months of the season, the Panthers seemed to be at least a lock for a Wild Card spot in the NFC after jumping out to a 6-2 start, only to fail to win a single game since then.
Rivera has been in this position plenty of times over the years, but it will be interesting to see if this ends up being the final straw for Carolina since this season with the high expectations now looks like a complete waste. As for the other candidates fighting to keep their jobs like Rivera, well let’s just right into the latest edition of head coaches on the hot seat for Week 16, starting off with Dirk Koetter.
