Should be cut: Terrance Williams, Wide Receiver

As was just covered, Dallas hoped for a committee approach to be the answer at wideout in 2018. One player who was supposed to be a huge part of that was veteran Terrance Williams. The former No. 2 to Dez Bryant had his share of big moments in his career, but he also had some plays that left fans scratching their heads.

His former quarterback didn’t think he was a bad player though as Tony Romo said before the season that Williams could be the star they needed with Bryant gone.

"“Terrance Williams is an underrated receiver,” Romo said according to Drew Davison of the Dallas Star-Telegram. “I think he has an opportunity to step up now and we’ll see how it plays out.”"

It didn’t play out as Romo expected. Williams had just two receptions for 18 yards before being placed on IR with a foot injury. Add to that his offseason issues which included a wrecked car and a video of a drunk Williams being confronted by cops and it’s easy to see this partnership ending.

Williams ended up being suspended for violating the substance abuse policy — in response to the accident — but it really was a moot point as the three-games were served while he was hurt.
