2. Drew Brees throws for at least two touchdowns

As noted in my previously, the Saints offense is stalling. It’s unusual to see such a powerful group struggle as they have. The team seems to lack all of the excitement and talent we’ve come to appreciate. Nevertheless, they’ve still been able to win games which is incredible.

What’s been so mind-boggling is the play of Drew Brees. Brees went from having an MVP-caliber season to not even throwing touchdowns. It’s like he’s been a completely different player since Week 13 and everything kind of fell apart. Maybe it’s the pressure of the season or Brees is truly showing his age.

Nevertheless, I predict that his streak will end this week and Brees will throw for at least two touchdowns. Even with the big game the Steelers defense had last week, the Saints have a secret weapon and it’s their plethora of receivers. Brees has connected with multiple different guys who may never have gotten a chance. That’s not to discount his connection with Michael Thomas, though.

Brees needs a game to bounce back as last week didn’t work out. Going up against the Steelers is a challenge but Brees can manage. He helped shut the door on the Vikings, Rams and Ravens. Facing off with a talented and up and coming defense is exactly what Brees needs to get back to form.
