The 2019 NFL Draft is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball, and teams take advantage where they need it most in this latest NFL Mock Draft.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all. Yes, the holiday itself may have been on Tuesday, but what better way to celebrate the holiday season than with the gift that keeps on giving — no, not the Jelly of the Month club. It’s time to look ahead to the 2019 NFL Draft with another NFL Mock Draft, the Christmas Day edition.

There is no doubt a rich talent pool in the 2019 draft class. While much of the focus will be put on the defensive talent throughout the class, the offensive players available will certainly have a big impact on the future of franchises. Of course, it’s all about looking at the talent and how it coincides with team needs, which we try to work with in this NFL Mock Draft.

Without beating around the bush further and with just one week left in the regular season, let’s get into this 2019 NFL Mock Draft, starting with the Arizona Cardinals.

Note: The draft order is based on Tankathon after Week 16.

1. Arizona Cardinals: Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State

Outside of quarterback, there’s not a position on the field where the Arizona Cardinals are fully set, but they may be the most set at edge rusher thanks to having Chandler Jones locked up. With how bad this team is, though, they have to take the best talent available on the board with the first-overall pick, and that’s no doubt Ohio State edge rusher Nick Bosa in this class.

Bosa appears to be a can’t-miss prospect with the size, play-strength, explosiveness and polish to be a pass-rushing threat from the moment that he touches the field. The Cardinals will have plenty of improving left to do, but the combination of Jones and Bosa will be able to harass opposing quarterbacks for years to come.

2. San Francisco 49ers: Josh Allen, EDGE, Kentucky

The San Francisco 49ers would no doubt love to be able to grab Nick Bosa, but some late-season wins are going to keep that from happening. Even still, they need to add a viable presence off of the edge to help generate full pressure up front around a young and budding defensive line led by DeForest Buckner. They can get that in Josh Allen.

Allen elected to return to Kentucky for his senior season and that move has paid off big time as he showed noted improvement. He’s explosive off the edge and has all the tools to, like Bosa, be an impact player from the moment that he enters the NFL. Putting him on this 49ers defensive front will surely make them much improved heading into the 2019 season where they hopefully will see Jimmy Garoppolo return.
