They won the NFC East this season with a week left to play, but the Dallas Cowboys can be an even better team in 2019 by making these five moves in the offseason

This season started out slow for the Dallas Cowboys, who had made a plethora of moves in the quest to become a contender in the NFC East. The majority of their moves centered around coaching as they changed out several position coaching.

However, they did still make some personnel changes, with the biggest being the release of wide receiver Dez Bryant. There’s no doubt this was done to try and build the chemistry of the offense as Bryant was not getting on the same page as quarterback Dak Prescott.

Whenever that happens, a team has to make a choice between the two players. And as long as they believe in the quarterback, he will win every time. Whether or not the Bryant move was right, Dallas did a terrible job trying to replace him and that led to a 3-5 start on the season.

Somehow, they put it all together — adding a No. 1 wideout in Amari Cooper surely helped — and they’re now heading in Week 17 not needing a win as they have the NFC East wrapped up. The rest of their 2018 season has yet to be written, but that won’t stop us from looking ahead to 2019.

Here we examine five moves they can make to go from a team fighting for their division, to a legitimate contender.
