After missing the playoffs for the second season in a row, the Green Bay Packers set out to fill some holes with this 7-round 2019 NFL Mock Draft

2017 was supposed to be a season to forget for the Green Bay Packers. Sure, they missed the playoffs but that was due to Aaron Rodgers suffering a broken collarbone. Brett Hundley ended up struggling and the Packers even went out and got a new backup in DeShone Kizer.

They didn’t have to turn to Kizer this season, because Rodgers stayed on the field — even when a knee injury in Week 1 made that seem unlikely. Even with A-Rod back though, Green Bay still missed the playoffs.

Arguably the biggest reasons for the struggles this season were questionable play-calling and in-game management. Both issues pointed back to head coach Mike McCarthy, who was fired at the beginning of December — and Joe Philbin has taken over as the interim for now.

McCarthy had been coaching the team since 2006 and won a Super Bowl with them, so this is unfamiliar territory for fans of the Pack. All eyes will be on the upcoming coaching search. They will also be on the draft that will follow as the team needs more than a coach to get back over the hump. The good news is they have the quarterback in Rodgers, now they just need to put a few more pieces together to once again compete in the NFC North.

Here we try and predict which players they will select in the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft with this 7-Round Mock.
