7. Buffalo Bills: D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

There are a couple of positions that the Buffalo Bills can address this offseason. They need a new running back, their offensive line has holes, and their passing game has very few weapons. They’re even thinner there now as Andre Holmes and Kelvin Benjamin both were released during the season.

Moving on from them puts even more of the offensive burden on rookie quarterback Josh Allen. So far, Allen has looked like what he was supposed to be — a kid with a cannon for an arm, but a raw player who needs refinement.

Where Allen has surprised is his ability to move the ball with his legs. The Wyoming star has 536 yards rushing and six touchdowns in his 10 starts which is just under 200 yards less than he had in three seasons with the Cowboys.

With all that being said, the Bills need to find someone to help Allen progress. He will continue to have growing pains, but adding a No. 1 wideout will help take some of the pressure off of his shoulders. That’s where D.K. Metcalf of Ole Miss comes in. At one point, he looked to be the top wideout in the draft but comes in just behind N’Keal Harry in this mock thanks to concerns about a neck injury.

Metcalf has the size (6-foot-4, 225-pounds) to match up against any corner. He’s also proven to be a big play weapon who was averaging 21.9 yards per catch before his injury.
