San Francisco 49ers: 7-Round 2019 mock draft after Week 17

Round 4: Shaquille Quarterman, LB, Miami
The 49ers took a gamble in the 2017 NFL Draft when they selected Reuben Foster from Alabama despite his red flags. That ended up not working out as he’s no longer with the team. Here they try and add some depth at the position with Miami’s Shaquille Quarterman.
This isn’t a player who will come in and replace the talent Foster had, but Quarterman has recorded at least 82 tackles in all three of his seasons with the Hurricanes. He’s also skilled at rushing the passer, evidenced by his five sacks this season and 11 for his career.
Round 6: Myles Gaskin, RB, Washington
The 49ers will likely have more picks via trade, but for now, we move to their sixth-round pick, since the fifth-rounder was traded for Laken Tomlinson from the Detroit Lions. With this pick, they add Myles Gaskin, giving them another option in the ground game.
Gaskin had 5,202 yards in four seasons with 55 touchdowns. His stock was higher after a strong 2017 season, but he can still provide the Niners a third option who can carry the load if they continue to have injury problems there going forward.
Round 7: Sutton Smith, EDGE, Northern Illinois
The 49ers final pick actually comes via a seventh-round swap with the Kansas City Chiefs, so this will come late in the round. With that pick, they’re simply looking for talent they can mold, which leads them to Sutton Smith from Northern Illinois.
An undersized defensive end, Sutton racked up 29 sacks the past two seasons after switching from linebacker. He will need to add weight to make an impact at the next level but could end up being a decent special teams player while providing depth on the edge.
