AFC Championship: Baltimore Ravens (4) at Kansas City Chiefs (1)

That’s right. The train keeps rolling for the Ravens, who have already shocked the NFL world by making it to the AFC Championship. As you can tell, I’m taking it a step further and saying that they’ll hurdle the Chiefs and secure a spot in the Super Bowl.

Again, the primary factor here is the Baltimore defense, which has been ridiculous this season. They create turnovers, get plenty of sacks and stiffen up when it matters most. Even against a Kansas City offense that racks up yards at a historic pace, the Ravens defense has the gusto to get the job done on this large of a stage.

Heck, they nearly did it a few weeks ago. It took until overtime for the Chiefs to take down the Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium. The Baltimore defense made life difficult for Mahomes, and kept the run game fairly in check. If it wasn’t for a strip sack on Jackson during the extra period, the Ravens may have pulled off the win.

So here’s how Baltimore does it: run the ball down Kansas City’s throat and rely on its defense. The Ravens had a dominant game on the ground the first time around, and need to follow that formula in the AFC Championship Game. If they do that and the defense holds strong, they’ll control the tempo and come away with a close victory.

Hey Atlanta — here come the Ravens.

Prediction: Ravens defeat Chiefs
