Predicting the outcome of the entire 2019 NFL Playoffs
NFC Championship: Los Angeles Rams (2) at New Orleans Saints (1)
What better way to decide the NFC’s representative in the Super Bowl than a rematch between the Rams and Saints? The two teams have been nearly unstoppable all year long, and put on a dazzling show when they met back in November.
The first time around, Brees and the Saints managed to overcome their NFC foes by a score of 45-35. It was an impressive display for both parties, but New Orleans ultimately got the upperhand in a showdown between the conference’s top two teams. I’m predicting they’ll pull it off again, packing their bags for Atlanta in the process.
Like the initial meeting between these two juggernauts, there will be plenty of points and yards. Both passing games will be firing on all cylinders, with Brees and Goff lighting up the opposing secondary. Gurley will do his normal thing, while the duo of Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram make their presence felt in the ground game.
Unfortunately for Los Angeles, though, the Saints pull ahead in the fourth quarter and don’t look back. Brees manages to keep the game just out of reach, putting together a string of first downs in the final minutes to seal the deal.
And with that, the Saints are off to their first Super Bowl since 2009.
Prediction: Saints defeat Rams
