2. Russell Wilson

Wilson played every offensive snap for the Seahawks this season. That’s incredible, especially considering how often mobile quarterbacks get hurt. Wilson was sacked 51 times this season, which is a career high and tied for third most in 2018. There were three games where he was sacked six times and nine games where he was sacked three or more times. Even after being beaten up constantly, Wilson toughed it out all season long for Seattle.

Wilson’s passing yards per game dipped from 248.9 in 2017 to 215.5 this season. The yardage dip wasn’t a huge issue because of the resurgent run game, and Wilson had career highs in other key categories.

For instance, Wilson passed for a career high 35 touchdowns this year. He also set a personal best for quarterback rating with 110.9. That’s a huge jump from 95.4 last season. Wilson also tied a career low in interceptions with just seven. His 65.6 completion percentage is the second best of his career.

While Wilson isn’t an MVP candidate like he was last season, he was still just as impressive. He just filled a different role this season because Seattle actually had a run game. Last year Wilson was the team’s leading rusher and had to carry the entire offense. Things are different now, but Wilson is still terrific.
