1. Like it or not, Dak Prescott is clutch

It’s fun to point out Dak Prescott’s flaws, right? I mean he’s the only quarterback to ever miss open receivers or hold the ball too long, right? Obviously, that’s sarcasm as every quarterback has their share of moments they would love to take back, but the things Prescott struggles with plague others as well — but playing in the spotlight of Dallas, his get magnified.

The truth is this — Prescott is an imperfect quarterback that plays miles ahead of where he was drafted (fourth-round, No. 135 overall) but is still very young and learning the game. And what’s crazy is, despite his flaws he’s still put up an impressive record of 32-16 as a starter. Not only that, but this season was his second 10-plus win season in three years.

Even with that to stand on, there’s something else that makes Prescott a player to believe in ‚— this kid is clutch. Prescott never gets rattled and no stage is too big. He proved that again this past Sunday when he led his team back from a 35-28 deficit with 2:35 left to play.

Not only were they needing to rebound from a fumble by Amari Cooper the previous drive, but Prescott was working against the clock and even faced a fourth-and-15. On that play, he made a remarkable pass to the back of the end zone and Cole Beasley had an even more impressive touchdown catch.

Dak then followed it up with a two-point conversion as the team went for the dagger and he delivered. That proved to be the 14th game winning drive for Prescott of his short career.

That gives the team plenty of reason to believe in him. No matter how it looks on the field, he has the confidence to get the job done and he’s proven it several times.
