1. Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys

Usually, when you think of an X-Factor, you don’t look directly to one of the star players, but it’s hard not to with Dak Prescott of the Cowboys. He’s a polarizing figure who has won 32 games in his first three seasons as a pro and has had 14 game-winning drives — including one this past weekend. Even with that under his belt, the fourth-round pick is a major target for criticism.

Prescott was never afforded the time to develop as a passer that many scouts believed he needed as he was forced to start day one. He ended up winning so often as a rookie that he never saw the bench again, but that hasn’t taken away from some of the limitations that kept him from being selected before the 135th pick.

While it’s true that Prescott has a ways to go, he’s also an incredible competitor who simply shows no signs of being bothered by clutch moments. He’s also a leader for the team that they all believe in. And on Saturday, the entire team will have to rally around Prescott who seeks his first win in the postseason.

While it’s true that Dallas plays great defense and runs the ball more than they throw, no one will affect the outcome of the game more than Prescott. If he’s on his game, this offense is impossible to stop. Even if he’s not playing perfect, they’re hard to count out as he’s going to fight until the final snap.
