3. Dak Prescott vs. Seahawks secondary

The defense of the Seattle Seahawks allowed 240.1 yards per game through the air during the regular season, and Dak Prescott averaged 242.8 yards per game passing in 2018. Which is going to give in this game: the passing game of the Cowboys and Prescott, or the secondary of the Seahawks?

When the Cowboys faced the Seahawks in late September, the thorn in the side of Prescott and the Cowboys’ offense was Earl Thomas. If you remember, Thomas wanted a trade by the Seahawks at that time and was playing at a high level. In fact, he bowed to the Cowboys when he made his second interception of Prescott.

Yes, the positive for this game when it comes to Prescott is Thomas isn’t playing Saturday night as he suffered a season-ending injury, and since then the Cowboys have added Amari Cooper to their wide receiver arsenal, which has been a huge difference.

Another plus for Prescott against the secondary of the Seahawks is the game is at AT&T Stadium and not in Seattle, which is a very tough place to play, especially in the playoffs. Prescott gained some momentum on his side with a near 400-yard passing game in Week 17 to end the regular season. He’s just going to have to stay calm and challenge the secondary of Seattle because they are beatable, though they are quietly working on building another strong defense once again.
