2019 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Allen rises in full 2-round mock
By Randy Gurzi
11. Cincinnati Bengals: Devin White, LB, LSU
After 16 years, the Cincinnati Bengals will finally have someone besides Marvin Lewis wearing the headset on the sideline. It’s going to be weird to see them without Lewis, but it was time. He did take them from being one of the worst teams in the AFC and turned them into a threat, but Lewis was never able to get a win in the playoffs.
The question going forward will center around the roster and whether or not these are the right pieces. Most of those questions will be asked about quarterback Andy Dalton, who hasn’t been as effective as he once was. He also could have questions about health as a hand injury sidelined him in both 2015 and this past season.
In the end, they will likely conclude that Dalton is good enough to win games in the NFL and he will be given another season. They could look to add some receiver help as A.J. Green isn’t as young as he used to be, but they wait for that in this draft as well.
The player they do decide to go with is LSU’s Devin White. The top linebacker in this class, White showed great instincts and speed all season for the Tigers and trades in his LSU colors for a striped helmet.
