17. Cleveland Browns: D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

After going 5-3 in the second half of the season, the Cleveland Browns actually find themselves in a really good spot. They proved in that stretch that they can compete with the players they have. They also started to see progress from some of their positions of need — like offensive line and linebacker.

While that doesn’t mean they’re set at some of those spots, it does mean they can simply go for the best player available when it is their turn to draft. With that thought process guiding them, general manager John Dorsey pulls the trigger on a potential difference-maker at wide receiver in D.K. Metcalf. A neck injury limited him this season, but Metcalf was having a massive season through seven games before the injury.

He had 26 receptions for 569 yards receiving while averaging 21.9 yards per catch. Metcalf would be a great addition to the Browns receiving corps along with Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway. While those two are smaller wideouts, Metcalf gives them a huge target at 6-4 and 225 pounds — but he’s not just a mere big body as evidenced by his yards per catch.

Putting this kind of talent on the same field as Baker Mayfield could make the Browns one of the more dangerous offenses in the NFL.
