24. Oakland Raiders (via Bears): Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri

No move this season was criticized more than the one where the Oakland Raiders shipped Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears. They got two first-round picks, but they also gave up a second-round selection in 2020 — which was a major head-scratcher. Oakland only looked worse once Mack turned the Bears defense around.

They won the NFC North thanks to that side of the ball — and sadly he almost had more sacks than the entire Oakland roster. Maurice Hurst led the way for the Raiders with four sacks, and the team finished with 13 total. Mack had 12.5 and would have likely beat them had he not missed two games due to injury this season.

It seemed like an even worse trade as the Raiders wouldn’t send him to San Francisco on a similar deal, apparently thinking the Bears would give them a better draft pick in return. They can’t go back and fix that now, but they can look for a starter in Albert Okwuegbunam, the Missouri tight end. Jared Cook may leave in free agency, and replacing he veteran with one of the better options in this season’s draft could keep the offense going strong in this area.
