28. Los Angeles Chargers: Rashan Gary, DT, Michigan

The Los Angeles Chargers are a pretty strong team and their roster doesn’t have many holes in it. They have the quarterback in Philip Rivers and the running game is strong with both Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler. As for the receiving game, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are a great duo at receiver and once Hunter Henry is fully healthy they’ll be able to attack with a young tight end once again as well.

On defense, they’re also impressive. Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram are excellent edge rushers and they hit it out of the park when they drafted Derwin James at No. 17 this past season. Here they again luck out as another defensive talent slides to them as Rashan Gary is available in this mock.

Gary was another player who originally seemed to be a top-10 pick, but he didn’t have as big a season this year as expected. He missed a few games and because of that, he finished with just 38 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Also hurting his stock is just the talent that happens to be there on the defensive line. It works out well for L.A. though as they throw him into the mix with Bosa and Ingram to make a strength of their team even stronger.
