31. Kansas City Chiefs: Amani Oruwariye, CB, Penn State

There’s no doubt that the Kansas City Chiefs were one of the best offenses in the NFL this season. Patrick Mahomes could very well end up winning the MVP Award and it wouldn’t be shocking considering he had more than 5,000-yards passing and 50 touchdowns in his first season as a starter.

He was also helped by players such as Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. We have to wait to see how it all finishes for them this season as they sat out the first week of the playoffs due to earning the No. 1 seed in the AFC. However, getting that seeding doesn’t mean they were a perfect team.

The Chiefs proved to have a lot of problems on the defensive side of the ball all season. They can use a lot of help, but with this pick, they decide to address the secondary with Amani Oruwariye. With excellent size at 6-1 and 203 pounds, Oruwariye proved to also have great ball skills.

He picked off eight passes the past three seasons and had three to go along with 50 tackles this year for the Nittany Lions. They don’t need to be elite on defense, just effective. Oruwariye helps them become that.
