37. New York Giants: Kris Boyd, CB, Texas

Their first round pick could change the franchise as Dwayne Haskins is a potentially elite quarterback who can replace Eli Manning as the face of the franchise. Now in the second round, they add a defender who can help slow down opposing quarterbacks by taking a talented receiver out of the game.

Kris Boyd is a borderline first-round talent according to some and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him go earlier than this. However, in this mock, he’s still around and the Giants happily snatch him up.

38. Jacksonville Jaguars: Darryl Williams, OG, Mississippi State

They got their new quarterback, now it’s time to give him more protection. The Jaguars don’t have a bad offensive line but it’s never a bad idea to upgrade if they can. Darryl Williams from Mississippi State can provide that as he bolsters the interior of their line. His presence can also increase the effectiveness of their run game — which will also greatly benefit their new gunslinger.

39. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Taylor Rapp, S, Washington

The Bucs addressed one big hole with the addition of Jonah Williams earlier, now they go for another as they fill a hole at safety. Taylor Rapp is another player who could get first-round consideration but goes near the top of the second round here.

40. Buffalo Bills: David Montgomery, RB, Iowa State

The Buffalo Bills continue to get help for Josh Allen as they aim to give him every tool he needs to find success in 2019. This time, they add Iowa State running back David Montgomery, who is fresh off a 1,216 yard rushing season which included 13 touchdowns. He has some big shoes to fill in Buffalo, but this kid can be special.
