6. New York Giants: Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State

Next up, we have the New York Giants and they finally get their guy. After passing on quarterback Sam Darnold last season in favor of running back Saquon Barkley, the Giants took their share of criticism. This was understandable considering Eli Manning has been on his last leg for more than a season and isn’t getting any younger.

They were able to silence some of the critics since Barkley balled out as a rookie. He finished with 1,307 yards on the ground and another 721 through the air and is in play for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Obviously, it didn’t lead to as many wins as they would like, but that can change should they land Dwayne Haskins.

The Ohio State quarterback may have started just one season, but he was making throws well beyond his experience all year. In 14 games in 2018 for the Buckeyes, he completed 70 percent of his passes for 4,831 yards with 50 touchdowns and just eight picks.

His completion percentage and yards per attempt were similar as a redshirt sophomore, even though he threw just 57 passes, which lets us know that he’s a legit player. Haskins has become the No. 1 quarterback in this class and can be dangerous in New York with Barkley and receiver Odell Beckham, Jr.
