Here are the latest NFL Power Rankings heading into the Divisional Round, with the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles making the NFC East look pretty strong.
Just because the regular season is officially in the books doesn’t mean the 2019 NFL Power Rankings need to come to an end since there are still plenty of great topics work discussing when it comes to football. In fact, if the Wild Card Round is any indication of what to expect next weekend, fans are going to love what the Divisional Round has in store.
With four set of games taking place this past weekend, lower seeds actually went 3-1, with the Dallas Cowboys being the only home team to finish on the winning end after hanging on for a 24-22 nail biter over the Seattle Seahawks.
Over the last couple of weeks, there were questions surrounding the Cowboys and whether they would return to their normal ways of failing to come through in the playoffs when it mattered the most, which luckily wasn’t the case. And when seeing how great Dak Prescott looked under center leading this offense in numerous ways, one can only imagine what the Dallas quarterback will have in store for Saturday’s game when taking on the Los Angeles Rams.
As for the other team in the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles somehow found a way to pull off another miraculous win on the road against the Chicago Bears after Cody Parkey’s kick from 43 yards out came up short in what would have been the game-winning field goal. Bears fans can blame Parkey all they want for how this exciting game ended, but also keep in mind there were a few other factors that played into the loss as well for the NFC North champions.
Only time will tell when it comes to seeing how these teams will play next weekend, but at least both the Cowboys and Eagles have plenty of reasons to feel confident at the moment. But before getting into more details over what to expect, let’s take a look at the latest NFL Power Rankings for the Divisional Round, starting out at the bottom as usual with the Arizona Cardinals.
