Prediction

The Los Angeles Rams are the favorites going into the NFC Divisional Round game, as they are seven-point favorites to defeat the Cowboys on Saturday night. Being the No. 2 seed, the Rams have proven this season they are a very strong football team that has a quarterback that is improving, and they have one of the best running backs in all of the NFL. Their defense is very strong, and games like these are why the Rams built and made moves for their defense this past offseason.

Taking a look at the Cowboys, they, too, have been building for this moment for quite a while now. The Cowboys played in the divisional round two years ago and lost to the Green Bay Packers. That game gave Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and others valuable playoff game experience, so they now know the pressures of playing in this game, though most of the Rams have yet to play in a divisional round game.

Both teams are very similar in how they play the game with both having the young quarterbacks, top running backs, solid top wide receivers and both have defensive players that many other NFL teams would love to have on their rosters.

Will this game come down to the offenses or defenses, or should we not overlook the special teams of both teams? Don’t forget Tavon Austin has a point to prove to his former team the Rams and has the ability on special teams to change the game. The Rams have JoJo Natson returning punts, who had a 60-yard return this season.

This game has the chance to come down to the wire, as both teams believe they can win this game. The two fan bases believe in their teams this game, and we know the owners of both teams want this win more than anyone else. So much is on the line in this games, but if you believe in the experts in Vegas, they are leaning toward the Rams.

That is where everything stops. The Cowboys have more momentum than they’ve had in quite some time. They’ve learned to gain the big wins in close games, the offensive line is improving and their defensive front seven is strong and can compete with the Rams.

Watch for Cowboys linebackers Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch to showcase their abilities at a whole new level and become the reason the Cowboys survive and move on, but it won’t be easy, that is a fact.

Final Score: Dallas Cowboys 31, Los Angeles Rams 27
