The Indianapolis Colts have been a dark horse for much of the year, but can they keep that going against Patrick Mahomes and the red-hot Kansas City Chiefs?
Midway through the 2018 regular season, the Kansas City Chiefs looked to be the most dominant team in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Indianapolis Colts appeared to be a team that, at the end of 16 games, would be on the outside looking in of the NFL Playoffs whenever they roll around. Yet, these two teams are now destined to clash on Saturday in the Divisional Round.
Andrew Luck and the Colts have no doubt turned things around in a major way this season, finding success with Marlon Mack and the rushing attack in addition to their high-powered passing attack. The biggest surprise — aside from their offensive line — though has been a defense that has emerged as one of the more fearsome units in the league after being a bottom-feeder for many years.
That defense, of course, will be put to the test on Saturday in the Divisional Round. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs may possess the best offense in the NFL, capable of striking with big plays seemingly at will. That’s good for their cause with a defense that is less than stellar, but their offense is certainly good enough to never count them out of any game.

With that out of the way, let’s take a look at what each team will need to do on Saturday to have a chance at advancing to the AFC Championship Game.
