Eagles Keys to Victory

For the Eagles to pull off another major upset this Sunday, they’ll need a few things to go their way. Offensively, head coach Doug Pederson needs another clutch performance from Foles.

Last week, Foles had a head-scratching interception against the Bears but shook it off and played his best when it mattered the most.

Against the Saints, the Eagles will need to be able to run the ball. New Orleans has been good against the run so it won’t be easy. Foles isn’t the type of quarterback who can carry an offense without a running game. Pederson will need to keep the Saints honest and find ways to get Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffery the football. Jeffery has a strong rapport with Foles and the two need a big game on Sunday.

Defensively, the Eagles must win up front. The matchup of the game will be the offensive line of the Saints against the defensive line of the Eagles. Both units are a strength for their respective teams and this could be where the game is decided. Michael Bennett has played his best football since the calendar turned to December and Fletcher Cox remains unblockable at times.

The Eagles must get consistent pressure from their front four.
