The eight teams still alive in the 2019 NFL Playoffs have one thing in common. Thanks to the NFL Draft in years past, they have their ideal quarterback in place. With the 2019 NFL Draft fast approaching, however, many of the other 24 teams in the league are looking their quarterback of the future. Then again, some in the playoffs need someone for the future as well.
It’s no secret, the 2019 NFL Draft quarterback class has some scouts feeling underwhelmed, especially in relation to the 2018 class that many labeled as a historic group of prospects featuring Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen and many more. Still, there are a number of talented quarterbacks in the 2019 class who have NFL starter qualities. It’s all about fit in the NFL, especially with these players the quarterback position.
There are a number of teams in need of a quarterback for different reasons. The New York Giants and New Orleans Saints need quarterbacks to replace their veteran stalwarts either now or in the immediate future. Meanwhile, there are teams like the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars that may look to move on from their current signal callers as they need an upgrade.
A quarterbacks’ success is predicated on the organization that drafts him. Of course, some of the landing spots for the quarterbacks that we’ll look at aren’t practical considering the draft slots of some teams. However, for some our quarterbacks, they’ll find themselves in the perfect spot come draft day.
