2018 NFL Draft: Grading every first-round pick after rookie year
With the regular season officially in the books, it’s time to take a look back at the first-round picks of the 2018 NFL Draft and grade their rookie seasons.
Unsurprisingly, the 2018 NFL Draft was rather productive in terms of talent. There were some serious steals, a couple of head-scratchers, and plenty of star power in the first round. Now that the 2018 season is over, it’s only natural to look back at how the Day 1 players fared as rookies.
That’s why I went ahead and assigned letter grades for each of the 2018 NFL Draft first-round picks.
These grades take a few things into consideration, including production, impact and potential shown. Be aware that there will be some guys who stuffed the stat sheets and still got average grades. There will also be guys who didn’t produce eye-popping numbers but still received positive marks for their performances. Believe it or not, it’s not all about the stats.
Also keep in mind that these grades are based on my opinions. Everyone will have different takeaways for different players—just take it for what it is. As a whole, though, I gave away more As and Bs than I expected to, with only two grades below a “C-“.
With that in mind, here are my grades for each of the 2018 NFL Draft’s first-round picks. For reference, you can see what grades I originally assigned each pick back in April here.
