7. Josh Allen, QB, Buffalo Bills

2018 Stats: 2,074 passing yards, 10 TDs, 12 INTs, 52.8 completion %, 67.9 passer rating, 631 rushing yards, 8 rushing TDs

In all honesty, I thought Josh Allen was going to tank as the Buffalo Bills’ quarterback of the future. I wasn’t impressed with his body of work during college, and assumed he wouldn’t come close to living up to the hype of being a Top-10 selection. Well, I was somewhat wrong.

Sure, Allen wasn’t a superstar during his rookie campaign. As you can tell by the above passing numbers, he left a lot to be desired when it came to tossing the pigskin. However, he also dealt with a number of hindrances in 2018, including injuries and a lack of weapons to work with. So, overall, I’d say he did decent considering the cards he was dealt.

On top of that, he emerged as one of the NFL’s most dangerous running quarterbacks. Combining his impressive size with sneaky athleticism, he routinely caught defenses off guard with his legs. In fact, he broke the record for most rushing yards in a three-game span by a quarterback (335), previously held by Michael Vick.

There’s a lot to look forward to with Allen, but there’s also plenty that must improve. The Bills will hoping to see more from him as a passer in 2019, which will allow him to not rely so heavily on his feet to get the offense going.
