15. Washington Redskins: D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

After Alex Smith suffered a broken leg, the Washington Redskins fell out of contention in the NFC East. It was a shame as Smith, as well as fellow veteran Adrian Peterson, had the Washington offense playing really well. There are concerns going forward about his health, as Smith suffered through complications after surgery.

Should they learn he won’t be back, quarterback becomes a big need. However, they may not have to go there in the first round. Washington could do well to draft the best player and wait on a signal-caller, especially with the elite names already off the board. This is what leads to them targeting D.K. Metcalf, one of the more intriguing wideouts in the draft.

Metcalf has tremendous size at 6-4 and 225 pounds and was having a great season before a neck injury sent him to the sidelines. There was plenty of concern to follow — with some wondering if he would be able to play at all any longer. The Ole Miss receiver seems to have put that notion to bed as he declared for the draft early.

For Washington, he could finally give them the legitimate No. 1 receiver they have been needing for the past couple of seasons.
