25. Philadelphia Eagles: DeAndre Baker, CB, Georgia

What a season the Philadelphia Eagles had. Sure, there will be plenty who are upset that they lost to the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round but in all honesty, they probably never should have been in that game. Just like last season, they lost quarterback Carson Wentz to injury and somehow Nick Foles had them rolling.

After taking the team to their first championship last season, Foles took over a 6-7 club and led them to wins over the Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans en route to a playoff appearance. They then knocked off the Chicago Bears before finally losing to New Orleans.

Wentz wasn’t their only injury issue as the Eagles also saw some members of their secondary succumb to injuries. That part of their defense ended up being their undoing and in this draft, they need to try and shore that up.

Their first-round pick is aimed at accomplishing that goal as they bring in Georgia cornerback DeAndre Baker. He may not have the height that’s become ideal in the NFL, but Baker can play on the outside and in the slot and could help shadow some elite receivers — which is something this team can use.
