26. Indianapolis Colts: Montez Sweat, EDGE, Mississippi State

The Indianapolis Colts saw their season end at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs, but they should still hold their heads high. They started out 1-5 on the year and ended up not only with a 10-6 record, but got a playoff win as well in the Wild Card Round. The future looks bright thanks in large part to a successful draft in 2018 and they look to add more talent in this draft as they continue building their foundation.

One of their better rookies this season was guard Quenton Nelson out of Notre Dame. He helped establish their offensive line as a tougher unit and they wound up having a better ground game than expected in large part due to his presence. On the defensive side of the ball, they would be wise to add a similar presence.

This is their goal as they land a talented defensive end with their first-round pick. Montez Sweat from Mississippi State is the pick and he brings a fiery attitude and incredible toughness. He gets praised for the 22.5 sacks he picked up in his final two seasons, but Sweat is just as good against the run. They need players like him to help slow down some of the high-powered offenses they need to compete with as they aim to make another deep run in the coming season.
