It’s time to take a look at another 2019 NFL Mock Draft, with Kyler Murray surprisingly going No. 1 to the Arizona Cardinals.

While four teams remain to battle it out to earn the title of Super Bowl champion, one of the other big stories to start off the week was the announcement by Oklahoma standout Kyler Murray declaring for the 2019 NFL Draft.

While this news came as a bit of a surprise when seeing how Murray is still free to negotiate with the Oakland Athletics if baseball still ends up being an option, this doesn’t mean the star quarterback isn’t shaking things up a bit in the latest 2019 NFL Mock Drafts across the country.

Rightfully so, if Murray were to end up making the decision to go with football, chances are he would be selected in the first round when looking at all of the teams in desperate need of help at the quarterback position.

From the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Washington Redskins, there are numerous teams expected to strongly consider using their first-round pick on a quarterback when looking at some of their issues at the position, whether it started in 2018 or way before.

For the Arizona Cardinals, one can only imagine if the team had waited an extra year to use a first-round pick on a quarterback after selecting Josh Rosen last April, despite signing Sam Bradford in free agency. At the time, the Cardinals seemed confident in Bradford being the short-term answer while Rosen would benefit from learning on the sidelines as a rookie, but that was far from the case.

Instead of sitting out, Rosen would end up appearing in 14 games during the 2018 season, but the former UCLA star made it clear he was a work in progress with numerous areas in need of improvement.

Obviously, a team like Arizona most likely wouldn’t give up on someone like Rosen after only one season, but imagine if the team ended up deciding the offense would be better off with someone like Murray.

Long shot or not, let’s have a little fun with another NFL Mock Draft with the hypothetical scenario involving the Cardinals going with the Oklahoma star at No. 1 while indicating that Rosen was clearly a mistake.
