9. Buffalo Bills: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama

One year after emerging as a surprise contender in the AFC thanks to a stellar defense, the Buffalo Bills took a little bit of a step back in 2018, although this seems like one of those situations that will be well worth it in the long run.

Despite reaching the playoffs during the 2017 season, the quarterback position was still a major issue for the Bills. And after finally realizing that Tyrod Taylor wasn’t the answer under center, the team decided to trade their former quarterback to the Cleveland Browns before using one of their first-round picks on Josh Allen in the draft.

Originally, Buffalo seemed hopeful that AJ McCarron would be the short-term answer for the offense before they decided to trade him to the Oakland Raiders to allow the Allen era to start earlier than expected.

Like most rookies, Allen experienced some struggles during his rookie campaign, but also seemed to get more comfortable as the season progressed to make it seem like he was worth the selection.

As for the upcoming draft, it would be wise for the Bills to consider building a better offensive line to make sure their beloved quarterback in Allen receives the proper protection, which is where Jonah Williams becomes part of the picture.

Some will try to make the case that Williams is the best offensive lineman from this year’s class, and if this proves to be the case, Allen would love to see Buffalo make this official to make his job much easier.
