10. Denver Broncos: Byron Murphy, CB, Washington

2018 was supposed to be the year in which the Denver Broncos finally returned to their winning ways since the defense seemed like it was going to finally receive the necessary support on offense at quarterback with Case Keenum.

Instead, this turned out to be the same Broncos team from the previous two seasons, as they would go on to win just six games before eventually firing Vance Joseph at head coach.

Moving on from Joseph after just two seasons seemed like a questionable move for Denver since the argument can be made the team failing to live up to expectations wasn’t entirely his fault. But at least with the hire of Vic Fangio, the former defensive coordinator has the perfect opportunity to help this team get back on track.

With Fangio receiving heavy praise for being a defensive mastermind after seeing what he was able to accomplish this season with the Chicago Bears, it only seems fitting to have the Broncos focus on defense in the first round during this year’s draft.

To help fill a need at cornerback, Washington’s Byron Murphy seems like a youngster that Fangio would love to work with to help Denver’s defense return to elite status. With his explosive playmaking ability, the Broncos could strike gold with Murphy if they did lean towards cornerback early on.
