13. Miami Dolphins: Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson

Despite jumping out to a 3-0 start last season, the Miami Dolphins knew they still had a ton to prove when seeing how two of those games happened to be against the New York Jets and Oakland Raiders.

Unfortunately, the Dolphins would go on to win only four games for the remainder of the season, and miss out on the playoffs, resulting in Adam Gase losing his job at head coach.

Similar to a few other teams already discussed, Miami could also be looking at quarterback in the upcoming draft when seeing how many chances Ryan Tannehill has received over the years to prove himself worthy, yet he still hasn’t stood out like the Dolphins need him to.

However, depending on what happens with the picks ahead of them, the best approach for Miami to take at No. 13 could be focusing on the defensive side of the football.

Defensive tackle will be a position the Dolphins look to improve over the next couple of months, and when seeing how much of a nightmare Dexter Lawrence has proven to be for opposing offensive lineman, this could be just what Miami’s defense needs.

When looking at some of his skills like stopping the run, Lawrence is one of those players who seems like a guarantee to go in the first round, no matter what.
