2. San Francisco 49ers: Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State

For months, the speculation has been that Ohio State’s Nick Bosa would be the the top pick in this year’s draft, and it’s easy to see why when looking at the impact he’s made over the years on defense for the Buckeyes.

Plus, when seeing how successful his brother has already been on the Los Angeles Chargers, any team would love the opportunity to make Bosa part of their defense.

Without question, the San Francisco 49ers would love nothing more than to see the Arizona Cardinals go in a different direction at No. 1 so the defensive star would be available at No. 2, which would make this a no brainer.

Just like his brother with the Chargers, Bosa is the kind of defender who would make an instant impact right away for the 49ers’ defense, and could even play a big role in helping them live up to the hype as a playoff contender, unlike this past season.

Yes, the argument can be made that San Francisco’s season would have been much different if Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t suffer a torn ACL, but also the defense still needs to improve as well to give the team a better chance of truly competing, which is where Bosa would help.
