After another impressive performance in 2018, the quarterback Nick Foles is likely going to be highly sought after over the next few months.

Despite leading the Philadelphia Eagles through the 2017 playoffs and their very first Super Bowl win, Nick Foles was relegated back to the bench behind Carson Wentz this past season.

But after Wentz was forced to miss time due to injury, once again, this year, Foles came in helped the Eagles win their final three games to earn a spot in the 2018 postseason. During this three week stretch, Philadelphia’s veteran quarterback completed 76.9 percent of his passes for 962 yards (320.7 per game), six touchdowns and three interceptions.

Once the Eagles got into the playoffs, Foles continued to work his magic out on the field. Thanks to a last minute, go-ahead touchdown pass by the 29-year old quarterback (and a kicker choking under pressure), Philadelphia pulled off the upset win over the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card Round.

It felt like Foles was about to do something similar during the Eagles’ Divisional Round matchup against the New Orleans Saints too. However, the Saints sealed the victory over Philadelphia with late-game interception that happened thanks to a tipped pass by Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.

With the loss, the Eagles are now forced to begin their 2019 offseason, a time where the franchise has a number of important decisions to make. One of these decisions will be figuring out what to do with Foles.

Philadelphia has already come out and expressed their commitment to Wentz as their starter moving forward. So now the Eagles have to decide if they want to exercise Foles’ 2019 contract option worth $20 million or not.

Given the fact that they’ve made it pretty clear that Wentz is their quarterback for the future, paying $20 million for someone to be their backup next season doesn’t seem like the decision Philadelphia will be making.

So with Foles hitting free agency this offseason seeming pretty likely, who are a few of the teams around the NFL could attempt to add the veteran quarterback to their roster?
