The Cleveland Browns are no longer the joke of the NFL. At 7-8-1, the Browns improved their record by seven and a half games in 2018. With a young, budding star at quarterback in Baker Mayfield, and talented pieces all over the field, the Browns might be set up for a decade of success come 2020 and beyond.
But, the Browns aren’t a superpower just yet. There are a few steps every team must take before entering the rarified air of the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, or Los Angeles Rams. It takes a lot of work to get to that level, but the Browns seem to be, at the very least, on the early stages of that path.
