The 2019 Pro Bowl will take place on Sunday, Jan. 27 in Orlando, putting some of the best players in the NFL on display, and here’s how to watch.

The not-very-anticipated 2019 Pro Bowl is upon us. In terms of the all-star contests in the four major American sports, the NFL’s is likely the least sought after. That’s not hard to see why given the fact that this is the most physical game and players don’t want to put themselves at a great risk. Even with that, though, it’s always great to see the league’s best put on display in an exhibition contest.

That will be the case on Sunday afternoon in Orlando at Camping World Stadium as we’ll see the AFC and NFC go toe to toe with one another. Sure, we won’t see any representatives from either the Los Angeles Rams or the New England Patriots in this Pro Bowl, but that’s no matter. Most of the best players in the league will still be on the field in Orlando.

We’ll get to see the likes of Ezekiel Elliott, Saquon Barkley, Patrick Mahomes, DeAndre Hopkins, Danielle Hunter, Myles Garrett and many, many more out there doing their thing. It would certainly be better for the Pro Bowl if there weren’t so many injuries and if the game was more competitive, but it’s a contest certainly not lacking in star power.

Obviously the Pro Bowl is just the precursor to the Super Bowl, which still stands a week away. That might be true, but it’s a great way to pass the time until the Big Game and get some NFL action in our lives.

There’s no doubt that the Pro Bowl has its issues. It’s hardly a competitive game, and it’s hard to blame the players for that fact. Having said that, there’s still good reason to watch the matchup between the NFC and AFC as the best — at least the best not playing in Super Bowl LIII — get to show why they are the best in the exhibition contest.
