After injuries derailed their 2018 season, the Washington Redskins look to solidify their roster with this 7-Round 2019 NFL Mock Draft

This past season ended up being a rough one for the Washington Redskins. They had some high hopes after bringing in former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith — and inking him to an extension following their big trade.

Then, they landed a potential game-changing running back in the 2018 NFL Draft when Derrius Guice, the LSU standout, slid some in the second round. Then, injuries struck. First, it was Guice who tore his ACL and missed the entire season.

Washington weathered the storm, thanks to the play of veteran Adrian Peterson, who was signed after the injury. Later, wide receiver Paul Richardson was lost to injury as their prized free agent pick up was sidelined. The final nail in their 2018 season’s coffin came when Smith suffered a broken leg.

Those issues led to a 1-6 record down the stretch, which saw them go from NFC East leaders to a 7-9 club. The good news though, is that there may not be a lot of work needed in order to turn things around. Knowing they started out 6-3 shows they have enough talent to compete — of course, Smith’s health will be a huge question mark there.

With all that being said, we try and predict what the Redskins will do in the upcoming 2019 NFL Mock Draft as they try and get themselves back into the race for the East title.
