If the Green Bay Packers have any hopes of returning to relevance next season, they’d be wise to target these big-name players during 2019 NFL free agency.

The Green Bay Packers went into 2018 with nearly everyone expecting them to make a run at the Super Bowl. Instead, they spent the entire season underwhelming across the board despite the return of Aaron Rodgers, failing to make the playoffs in the process.

That’s why they’d benefit from making a splash or two during 2019 NFL free agency.

Although that won’t be a cakewalk, the Packers have the cap space to make moves. According to Spotrac.com, the Packers currently expected to have about $33 million to work with this offseason. There are a number of ways they could create some more breathing room in the coming months, but general manager Brian Gutekunst will still have his work cut out for him.

So which big-name players could be in their crosshairs when free agency begins? With a number of needs and decent spending power, Green Bay can afford to make an upgrade or two. For now, though, it only seems logical to speculate on possible targets.

With that in mind, here are the five big names I believe the Packers could/should target during 2019 NFL free agency. Keep in mind, though, that some of these players may not even become available, instead choosing to re-sign with (or be franchise tagged by) their current teams.
