11. Rex Burkhead

Since he wasn’t part of the team two years ago when the Patriots pulled off that epic comeback against the Atlanta Falcons, Rex Burkhead is still in search of earning his first Super Bowl ring, meaning the running back be determined more than ever when facing the Rams.

Over the years, Belichick has always been known to be the kind of coach who rides with the hot hand at running back since he normally has plenty of talented players to work with, one of which happens to be Burkhead.

The AFC Championship is the perfect example of just how valuable Burkhead can be when needed on offense for New England, as he originally gave the team a lead towards the end of regulation before sealing a trip to the Super Bowl with the game-winning touchdown rush in overtime.

Whether he’s needed on the ground or simply through the air as a receiver for a quick pass, Burkhead can be used in multiple ways for the Patriots on offense, and certainly didn’t come all this way to come up short in the Super Bowl.

Knowing Belichick, there’s a good chance Burkhead will see plenty of action against the Rams since the defense will be focusing most of their preparation on stopping Sony Michel and James White.
