6. Brandin Cooks

Imagine the irony of the Patriots trading Cooks to the Rams last offseason, only to watch the speedster come back to haunt them in the worst way possible by smoking them in the Super Bowl.

Obviously, there were no harsh feelings towards Cooks and New England since it’s tough to turn down a first-round pick when the offense already had plenty of weapons for Brady to work with in the passing game.

In fact, watching the Patriots still find a way to earn a trip to the Super Bowl shows how they could afford to move on from Cooks after just one season in New England, although they would certainly love to have him back in the picture now.

After catching seven passes for 107 yards during the NFC Championship, Cooks continues to show how much of a difference he can make when involved on offense. And after he was knocked out of the Super Bowl last February with a concussion, Cooks cannot wait to get this year’s Super Bowl going to have a little redemption.

Los Angeles never would have given up another first-round pick if they didn’t believe Cooks was worth it, and if he helps the team earn that one final win in the Super Bowl, the deal would be even more meaningful.
