5. James White

There aren’t many running backs in the NFL who are actually more valuable as a receiver, but this happens to be exactly the case for White with the Patriots, and the numbers will back it up.

Just look at the Divisional Round win over the Los Angeles Chargers when White hauled in 15 catches for 97 yards without receiving a single carry, and it shows just how difficult the New England running back can be to defend.

As great of a job as the Rams have done over the last two games when it comes to stopping the run, keep in mind how much the defense struggled to stop Alvin Kamara during the NFC Championship in the passing game.

In a way, if Kamara was able to find success as a receiver against Los Angeles, there’s every reason to believe that White will be able to do the same in the Super Bowl.

Plus, let’s not forget how dangerous White was two years ago in the Super Bowl when many believe he deserved to take home MVP honors over Brady after catching 14 passes. When facing the Rams, why shouldn’t White feel confident about being able to put up these kinds of numbers again since this is one of his specialties?
