4. Todd Gurley

Dating back to last season, Gurley has become one of the league’s top running backs after watching him find the end zone a total of 40 times during the regular season.

Without question, Gurley’s lack of touches (four carries for 10 yards with a touchdown) during the NFC Championship came as quite the surprise since this was the last thing the Rams expected from one of the most talented players on offense in the NFL, but at least this was only one game.

The best of players tend to have off days every once in a while, and as concerning as it seemed at the time for Los Angeles, the important factor is they still punched their ticket to the Super Bowl without Gurley having a big game.

As for what to expect in the Super Bowl, there’s a good chance McVay will try to remove any early pressure Gurley is feeling by making sure he’s heavily involved early on with a ton of carries. In fact, would anyone really be all that surprised if Gurley received more carries in the first quarter alone during the Super Bowl than the NFC Championship?

Thanks to having two weeks of preparation, Gurley shouldn’t have any trouble making sure he bounces back strong when it matters the most in the Super Bowl.
