15. Dont’a Hightower

Time certainly flies in the NFL when considering it seems like only yesterday the Patriots selected Dont’a Hightower in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, as the linebacker would certainly love to add another Super Bowl ring to his collection with a win over the Rams.

Unfortunately, the 2017 season was a year to forget for Hightower after he was limited to appearing in just five games while dealing with numerous injuries, but at least this season has been the complete opposite.

By starting 15 games during the regular season along with the two playoff games, Hightower continues to be a valuable member of the defense for New England, and will certainly be a key factor when it comes to the team’s chances of taking down Los Angeles.

Alabama has produced plenty of great defenders in the NFL over the years, and there’s no question Hightower is part of that list after all the accomplishments from the last seven seasons.

Hightower’s numbers from the regular season (one sack and one interception) may not stand out like some of the other defenders across the NFL, but the Super Bowl could be one of those games in which he displays one of his better games to help the Patriots in the best way possible.
