13. Miami Dolphins: Rashan Gary, DT, Michigan

The Miami Dolphins hirer Brian Flores to be their head coach, going with a defensive minded guy while everyone else seemed set on finding the next big offensive guru. As for Flores, the former New England Patriots linebackers coach also spent time coaching in the secondary and made the call to send Malcolm Butler in on the play that helped them defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl a few seasons ago.

Now joining an AFC East rival, he will have his work cut out for him if he hopes to ever knock the Patriots off the top of the division. One of the first things he will need to do is figure out the quarterback situation. Ryan Tannehill hasn’t consistently gotten the job done and has had some durability issues as well.

With them picking at No. 13, they miss out on the top quarterbacks, which means they go a different direction in the first round. Their selection ends up being Rashan Gary, who has the talent to go even higher than this, but the depth at defensive tackle in this class leaves him on the board to this point. Gary has the ability to cause havoc from the three-technique spot which the Dolphins can use.

Off the field, news broke that he is planning to start his own sports agency, which is something to keep an eye on. Should he be successful in this endeavor, others could decide to do the same thing.
