2019 NFL Mock Draft: Nick Bosa falls to No. 2, Kyler Murray in top 10
By Randy Gurzi
15. Washington Redskins: Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss
It was a good sign recently to see Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith out at a Washington Wizards game. While the brace on his leg indicates he’s a long way from recovery, the fact he was out enjoying a basketball game and moving around was encouraging. If nothing else, it just means he’s on the mend which is a plus after initial reports following his surgery from a broken leg were so ominous.
With all that being said, the Redskins could look to add a young quarterback this season. That player would likely be there to groom behind Smith, or possibly even start as he finishes rehab should he be unable to go as soon as the season starts.
Assuming Smith will be back in 2019, the Redskins can wait until a later round to address that spot. With their first pick, they snatch up a player who can make life better on whoever is under center throughout this next season — and many more to come. Their pick is Ole Miss left tackle Greg Little.
Little is listed at 6-6 and 325 pounds and has some believing he’s the top tackle in this draft. There are also those who believe he has too many issues with technique, which makes him more of a project. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, which makes him a solid starter who could develop into a really good player.
