2019 NFL Mock Draft: Nick Bosa falls to No. 2, Kyler Murray in top 10

25. Philadelphia Eagles: Montez Sweat, EDGE, Mississippi State
At first glance, defensive end may not seem like a huge need for the Philadelphia Eagles, but going that route makes a lot of sense when you pull back the curtain.
Brandon Graham is a free agent and could be on the move. Another player at the position set for free agency is Chris Long, but if he comes back he will be 34 years old and a rotational piece at this point in his career. They do have Derek Barnett and Michael Bennett but still need depth. Bennett is 33 years of age and Barnett missed nine games in 2018 due to shoulder surgery.
The injury to Barnett highlights the need for depth and the age of those around him mean the Eagles need some youth to move through the ranks as well. Enter Montez Sweat from Mississippi State. Like Barnett, Sweat dominated in the SEC where he matched up with a lot of offensive tackles that will be starters in the NFL.
In his two seasons with the Bulldogs — after transferring from Michigan State — Sweat had 22.5 sacks and 101 total tackles. He’ll be a productive player for many years in Philly, even if he starts his career as a reserve.
